He is proved and popularized the theorem around 500 BCE.


P² + B² = H²



Find Hypotenuse (H)

Use: H² = P² + B²
  1. P = 3 cm, B = 4 cm

  2. P = 5 cm, B = 12 cm

  3. P = 8 cm, B = 15 cm

  4. P = 7 cm, B = 24 cm

  5. P = 9 cm, B = 12 cm

  6. P = 6 cm, B = 8 cm

  7. P = 10 cm, B = 24 cm

  8. P = 20 cm, B = 21 cm

  9. P = 11 cm, B = 60 cm

  10. P = 16 cm, B = 30 cm


Find Perpendicular (P)

Use: P² = H² - B²

  1. H = 13 cm, B = 5 cm

  2. H = 25 cm, B = 7 cm

  3. H = 17 cm, B = 15 cm

  4. H = 41 cm, B = 40 cm

  5. H = 29 cm, B = 21 cm

  6. H = 50 cm, B = 14 cm

  7. H = 37 cm, B = 35 cm

Find Base (B)

Use: B² = H² - P²
